Dinosaur footprints at Staffin beach

Some of the pupils were on a trip to the beach yesterday to look at the dinosaur footprints. Dugie Ross who is a local expert on dinosaurs guided us and told us some details about the footprints. They were left by a Megasuarus (we think that's what he said). Anyway they looked really impressive. The picture on the home page of the blog shows Dr Clark with the most obvious of the 14 prints.

Can you see what looks like a smaller footprint inside the large one? I wonder if it's a real one? A baby footprint perhaps?

Coyote Basin

Welcome Staffin students! My name is John Kunkel. I teach science and math at Greybull Elementary School in Greybull, Wyoming, USA. This three-toed footprint is found in the Morrison formation of Coyote Basin about 15 miles from our school. The toes are pointing toward the top of picture. My question to all students is, "What kind of track is this? A) natural cast B) true cast C) undertrack. Good Luck.
