Red Gulch Dinosaur Tracksite

I'm Sabrina. This is a track of a dinosaur at the Red Gulch Track Site. The toes are pointing toward the left. A thousand tracks have been located at the site. The prints were formed about 167 million years ago during the middle Jurrasic Period. Wyoming was thought to be under water at this time but these tracks proved that theory to be incorrect. The Red Gulch Tracksite is about 17 miles from Greybull.

Greybull Elementary School

This is our current and under construction Greybull Elementary School(GES). The original building (top) was constructed in 1919. Our classroom is bottom left, with large windows, and yellow and white shades.The new building (bottom) will be the first Leader in Energy and Environmental Design building in Wyoming. There are about 250 students at GES ages 5-11. The students enjoy outdoor games during break time such as soccer, American football, basketball, and playing on swings and merry-go-rounds.

Dinosaur footprints at Staffin beach

Some of the pupils were on a trip to the beach yesterday to look at the dinosaur footprints. Dugie Ross who is a local expert on dinosaurs guided us and told us some details about the footprints. They were left by a Megasuarus (we think that's what he said). Anyway they looked really impressive. The picture on the home page of the blog shows Dr Clark with the most obvious of the 14 prints.

Can you see what looks like a smaller footprint inside the large one? I wonder if it's a real one? A baby footprint perhaps?

Coyote Basin

Welcome Staffin students! My name is John Kunkel. I teach science and math at Greybull Elementary School in Greybull, Wyoming, USA. This three-toed footprint is found in the Morrison formation of Coyote Basin about 15 miles from our school. The toes are pointing toward the top of picture.
